- What is Divine Open Institute of Management (DOIM)? DOIM is a modern higher education institution established in Uganda in 2026, committed to delivering quality management-focused academic programmes from Certificate to Masters level through the Open, Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) model. DOIM serves learners across Uganda, East Africa, and internationally.
- Is DOIM a recognised institution? DOIM operates in full compliance with Uganda’s higher education regulatory framework and is registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB). DOIM’s academic programmes are delivered in partnership with accredited universities. Prospective students are encouraged to confirm the specific accreditation status of their chosen programme with the Admissions Office.
- Is DOIM the same institution as Prime International Institute of Excellence? DOIM and Prime International Institute of Excellence (PIIE) are separate and distinct institutions that happen to operate under the same institutional leadership. Each institution has its own identity, academic structure, programme portfolio, governance, and operational profile.
- Where is DOIM located? DOIM’s headquarters are in Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District, Uganda. However, as a fully ODeL institution, DOIM serves students from any location in Uganda and internationally. There is no requirement to travel to or attend any physical campus.
Admissions Questions
- How do I apply to DOIM? Applications are submitted online through the DOIM admissions portal. Applicants complete the online application form, upload the required documents, pay the non-refundable application fee, and submit. Admission decisions are communicated within ten working days of receiving a complete application.
- What documents are required to apply? Required documents include certified copies of all academic certificates and transcripts, a valid national identity document or passport, a recent passport-size photograph, and any relevant professional qualification certificates where applicable.
- What are the entry requirements for Masters programmes? Applicants for Masters programmes must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised and accredited university in a relevant discipline.
- What are the entry requirements for Bachelor’s Degree programmes? Applicants must hold the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least two principal passes and one subsidiary pass, or a recognised equivalent from an international examining body. International students without A Level qualifications may first complete the DOIM Higher Education Certificate bridging programme.
- Can I transfer credits from a previous qualification? DOIM operates a formal Credit Transfer Policy. Holders of a relevant Postgraduate Diploma may be admitted directly into Year Two of a related Masters programme and awarded the relevant credit transfers. Holders of a relevant Diploma may be admitted into Year Two of a related Bachelor’s Degree programme and awarded the relevant credit transfers. Each application is assessed individually by the DOIM Credit Transfer and Admissions Committee.
Fees and Finance Questions
- What are the tuition fees at DOIM? DOIM tuition fees are structured by programme level as follows: Masters and Postgraduate Diploma programmes cost UGX 1,200,000 per semester; Bachelor’s Degree programmes cost UGX 1,000,000 per semester; Diploma programmes cost UGX 650,000 per semester; and Certificate programmes cost UGX 600,000 per semester. Fees are reviewed periodically and applicants are advised to confirm current rates with the Admissions Office.
- Are there flexible payment arrangements? DOIM’s Finance Office provides guidance on instalment-based payment plans for students who are unable to pay their full semester fees at once. Contact the Finance Office for details.
- How are fees paid? Tuition and other institutional fees are payable online through the DOIM payment portal using mobile money, bank transfer, or debit and credit card. Full payment instructions are provided upon admission.
- Are there scholarships available at DOIM? DOIM is committed to expanding access to quality education. Scholarship and financial support opportunities are announced on the DOIM News and Events page. Academic and Study Questions
- How long do DOIM programmes take to complete? Programme durations are as follows: Masters Degrees take two academic years (four semesters); Postgraduate Diplomas take one academic year (two semesters); Bachelor’s Degrees take three academic years (six semesters); Diploma and Certificate programmes each take two academic years (four semesters).
- How are DOIM programmes delivered? All DOIM programmes are delivered entirely online through the ODeL model. Students access course materials, interact with faculty, submit assignments, and sit examinations through the DOIM Learning Management System and digital academic platforms. There is no physical campus attendance requirement.
- How are students assessed at DOIM? Assessment methods vary by programme and course unit but typically include written assignments, case study analyses, group projects, research papers, online quizzes, and end-of-semester examinations. All assessments are conducted through secure digital platforms.
- What qualification will I receive upon graduation? Upon successful completion of all programme requirements, students are awarded a formal qualification — Degree, Diploma, or Certificate — under the DOIM academic framework, validated in partnership with the relevant accredited partner university. - Is DOIM’s ODeL model suitable for working professionals? DOIM’s ODeL model is specifically designed for working professionals. All course materials are available online around the clock, live sessions are recorded for students who cannot attend in real time, and the academic calendar is structured to allow flexible study planning alongside professional and personal commitments.
