ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES
DOIM offers a comprehensive and carefully designed portfolio of academic programmes spanning five levels of study, from Certificate through to Masters Degree. All programmes are delivered through the Open, Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) model, ensuring that every learner, regardless of their professional commitments or geographic location, can access quality education at the level appropriate to their qualifications, career stage, and ambitions.
Our programmes are developed in collaboration with subject matter experts and delivered in partnership with recognised universities. They combine robust theoretical foundations with practical, real-world application, equipping graduates with both the academic credentials and the professional capabilities to excel in management, business leadership, and related fields.
Programme Levels, Durations, and Fees
Masters Degree Programmes: 2 Academic Years (4 Semesters)- UGX 1,200,000 per Semester
Postgraduate Diploma Programmes: 1 Academic Year (2 Semesters)- UGX 1,200,000 per Semester
Bachelor’s Degree Programmes: 3 Academic Years (6 Semesters)- UGX 1,000,000 per Semester
Diploma Programmes: 2 Academic Years (4 Semesters)- UGX 650,000 per Semester
Certificate Programmes: 2 Academic Years (4 Semesters)- UGX 600,000 per Semester
Note: All fees shown are per semester in Uganda Shillings. Fees are reviewed periodically. Please confirm current fees with the Admissions Office at the time of application.
Mode of Study
All DOIM programmes are delivered through the Open, Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) model. There are no on-campus attendance requirements. Students engage with their programmes entirely through the DOIM digital learning environment, participating in online course modules, virtual facilitated sessions, digital assignments, and online examinations.

DOIM’s admissions process is straightforward, merit-based, and designed to be accessible to all qualified applicants. We welcome learners from diverse educational, professional, and personal backgrounds — from recent school leavers taking their first step into higher education, to experienced professionals seeking to advance or pivot their careers, to postgraduate candidates committed to deepening their academic and research expertise.

Entry Requirements
Masters Degree and Postgraduate Diploma Programmes
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised and accredited university in a relevant or related discipline.
- Holders of a relevant Postgraduate Diploma from a recognised institution may be considered for direct admission into Year Two of a Masters programme, subject to credit transfer evaluation by the DOIM Admissions Committee.
- A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is recommended, though not mandatory for all programmes.
Bachelor’s Degree Programmes
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least two principal passes and one subsidiary pass.
- Any recognised equivalent of A Level qualifications from an internationally accredited examining body.
- International students who do not hold A Level or an equivalent qualification are required to successfully complete the DOIM Higher Education Certificate (HEC) before being admitted to a Bachelor’s Degree programme.
- Holders of a relevant Diploma from a recognised institution may apply for direct admission into Year Two of a related Bachelor’s Degree programme, subject to credit transfer evaluation.
Diploma Programmes
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least one principal pass and one subsidiary pass.
- Holders of the DOIM Higher Education Certificate (HEC) or an equivalent recognised bridging qualification.
Certificate Programmes
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least five passes, including passes in English Language and Mathematics.
- A recognised equivalent secondary school leaving certificate from an accredited institution.
Higher Education Certificate (Bridging Programme)
- A subsidiary pass in a principal subject at Uganda Advanced Level or equivalent.
- International students who do not hold an A Level qualification but possess a recognised equivalent secondary education qualification.
Credit Transfer Policy
DOIM formally recognises prior academic achievement through a structured credit transfer mechanism:
- Holders of a relevant Postgraduate Diploma from a recognised institution are eligible for admission into Semester Three (Year Two) of an applicable Masters Degree programme and awarded the relevant credit transfers.
- Holders of a relevant Diploma from a recognised institution are eligible for admission into Semester Three (Year Two) of a related Bachelor’s Degree programme and awarded the relevant credit transfers.
- The Higher Education Certificate serves as the foundation course for international students and a bridging qualification to study the Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma at DOIM.
- All credit transfer applications are evaluated individually by the DOIM Credit Transfer and Admissions Committee. Decisions are communicated in writing and are subject to the institution’s published credit transfer guidelines.
How to Apply
DOIM’s admissions process is fully digital and is completed in the following steps:
- Visit the DOIM online admissions portal and select your desired programme.
- Complete the online application form with your personal, educational, and professional details.
- Upload certified copies of your academic certificates and transcripts, a valid national identity document or passport, and a recent passport-size photograph.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee through the secure online payment portal.
- Submit your completed application and receive an automated confirmation with a unique application reference number.
- Await the decision of the Admissions Committee. All decisions are communicated by official email within ten working days of receiving a complete application.
- Upon receiving your letter of admission, complete your registration by paying your first semester tuition fee and activating your student account.
