ONLINE AND DISTANCE LEARNING
Learn Digitally. Lead Globally.
Divine Open Institute of Management operates exclusively through the Open, Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) model. This is not a compromise on quality; it is a deliberate and sophisticated approach to education that places quality learning within reach of every committed learner, regardless of where they live, what hours they work, or what personal responsibilities they carry.
ODeL at DOIM is designed for the real world. We understand that most of our learners are adults with careers, families, and financial responsibilities. We have built our entire academic delivery model around this reality, ensuring that you never have to choose between your education and your life.
What ODeL at DOIM Means for You
- You study entirely online, from your own home, office, or any location with an internet connection.
- All course materials, including reading resources, recorded lectures, case studies, interactive content, and supplementary learning aids, are available on the DOIM Learning Management System.
- You engage with your faculty through a combination of scheduled live virtual sessions, moderated online discussion forums, and direct digital communication.
- You submit your assignments, sit your examinations, and track your academic progress entirely through secure digital platforms.
- You have access to all learning resources twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the academic semester.
How the DOIM ODeL Model is Structured
- Self-Directed Study: Each course provides a structured weekly study plan with clear learning objectives, readings, and activities. You manage your own study time within the semester framework.
- Facilitated Learning Sessions: Qualified faculty facilitate live online sessions using video conferencing tools. Sessions are scheduled at learner-friendly times and are recorded for students who are unable to attend in real time.
- Continuous Assessment: Throughout each semester, you complete assignments, participate in online discussions, and submit coursework that contributes to your final grade. Assessment is spread across the semester to reinforce learning continuously.
- End-of-Semester Examinations: Final examinations are conducted digitally at the close of each academic semester through the DOIM secure examination platform.
- Faculty Support: All DOIM faculty commit to responding to student queries within forty-eight hours. Virtual office hours are scheduled each week to allow students direct one-on-one interaction with their lecturers.
